Subtle, neutral designs are still high-impact with this upcycled denim chair. My template for this chair replicates a long-range view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Now, you can also make this great conversation piece that evokes the feeling of past visits and vacations.
Don't throw your old jeans away! The mountains are calling! I'll show you how to choose the best chair frame shapes and share my embellishment resources. It's just what you need to make your own custom mountain scene using recycled denim.
You will see how to cut and attach the mountains, and all the secrets of the mountains in between.
What's Included:
My behind-the-scenes videos will show you how to make each detail of this surprisingly easy chair to upholster. This chair requires some basic upholstery skills and will help you develop heightened embellishment techniques including how to cut and apply the mountains.
What You Will Need:
- Some basic upholstery skills to attach the fabrics to the frame of the chair, but no worries, I can give you the basics for you to be bold and achieve this look.
- Denim, about 8 pairs of old jeans. I like to have an upholstery denim as the seat, because it has a finish on it that regular denim does not. But I have done both.
- The perfect chair that can showcase the mountains. The class outline will point you in the right direction as to which chair frame shape is best.
- Stapler
- Sewing machine
- Threads to match
- Build out materials and supplies
- Black skein of Embroidery thread optional
